One can safely say that if it the case that you are using 'getKey' for key input that -- that may be your problem. But, as Super-Hippo pointed out, a fix help is improbable without seeing any code.

Line 167 calls 'move(int)' (i.e. the move method with an int parameter), which you are not supposed to do in Greeps. The main problem is that you call stopAtTomato() on line 39, which may or may not move() depending on whether the flag is set. But then, on lines 40-64, you usually call move() anyway. So if 'stopAtTomato()' doesn't move the Greep, the code following it will cause the Greep to move regardless. Eg on line 59 there is a call to 'move()'. You should check the flag before moving, always. Finally, please don't post Greeps code here. The idea with the Greeps competition is for s

thanks for answering davmac. the problem is solved now, it really was the problem in line 7, sorry that i didn't wrote the line. I just had to leave away the ".getClass()" so now it works. PS: the give method was not the problem, I just forgot to say that I created it myself. Thank you for helping
