I figured out I have to start typing as soon as I press the button otherwise it will block me from writing anything

Could you make a tutorial for how to do the userinfo connection?
danpostdanpost

@JetLennit, see the discussion called 'On "Private Messaging" by danpost' at: http://www.greenfoot.org/topics/1938

I am logged in but it says i am not
danpostdanpost

2013/5/5

I think either Greenfoot's UserInfo storage is not accessable (not because of you not being logged in) or a bug has cropped up within Greenfoot. It is acting very strange. Resetting fixes the 'not logged in' part; but an error occurs when you then 'start' the scenario (which never happened before).

Try looking at the comments of bourne's workshop

2014/7/13

Is there a way to change the window size of the scenario?
danpostdanpost

2014/7/13

@McBook, yes. But, I would have to change it and re-upload it (not something I am about to do, however).

2014/7/14

I was just asking because I make mine as big as the window size in Greenfoot and that leads to a small problem when publishing. I found out you can zoom in on the page itself as kind of "first aid" for that problem

Not open source :( I was hoping to learn about Sockets this way :(

this used "UserInfo" other than "Sockets"
A new version of this scenario was uploaded on 2016-11-13 15:43:24 UTC Test scenario

Thought I messed up there for a second. No harm done. This is not the test scenario.

Now even when logged in, it says "Please login to continue".
danpostdanpost

2016/11/14

@Nosson1459, sometimes the server is out. When you are logged in and it says "Please login to continue", just try again at a later time. (seems to be okay now)
Nosson1459Nosson1459

2016/11/15

Error. Click for details NullPointerException by SOME of these errors it works when downloaded, this I can't download and probably wouldn't help if I could (and it worked earlier today).
danpostdanpost

2016/11/15

@Nosson1459, close and reopen your browser, log in and try again. I think if you refuse to run any scenario that no future ones will run on the same session.
Nosson1459Nosson1459

2016/11/15

but i dont think i ever refused one and its random ones at random times that dont work
danpostdanpost

2016/11/15

@Nosson1459, I do not know what to tell you. Maybe its your browser; maybe it is something else. Sounds like the problem is at your end, however (but, I could be mistaken).

Why some of the users r in green and red color???
danpostdanpost

2020/10/22

@Roshan123, answer is in description. However, I think UserInfo data is screwed up for this scenario.
Roshan123Roshan123

2021/2/28

Its it possible to type or search user name If yes then how?
danpostdanpost

2021/2/28

@Roshan123, No. All users who run this while logged into greenfoot SHOULD be listed. However, I believe the scenario has broke since the change-over to javascript.

Where can I find the source code for this? I would like to implement a similar thing in my project.

@349592576, please start a discussion thread on your thing to implement.

2021/7/19

Once u told me that u can block the user to use this scenario. Would u plz share the code to block the specified user
danpostdanpost

2021/7/19

@Roshan123, it is just a matter of comparing user to a list during logging in. List is literal code that would be updated as needed. I used a BannedWorld set active if banned user tries to log in.
Roshan123Roshan123

2021/7/20

Thanks for it. I think i made the required mechanism
