Comments for Marbles

Return to Marbles

OK, I love the interactive arrow that lets me aim carefully, is that why I have to drag in the opposite direction to "hit" the gold marble towards a silver one? Just struggling a bit with the analogy to a real marble that I would hit. Nice that the length of the arrow shows the force of the hit, too.

I guess the idea with the direction of the arrow was that you pull the mouse towards the point from which you would hit the marble (and the marble then goes into the opposite direction).

I've added proper counting of score, rolls and tries now, and added a few levels (not many yet, but it's a start).

I've added a display for some of the points now. Thanks to svenancio for publishing your source -- I have used one of your sounds for my 200-points-tone.

Hm this is an interesting class (the smooth movement class). Just wondering, how do you stop an object from being moved around by the user when the game is paused?
mikmik

2008/10/21

To stop an object being moved, lock the scenario. You can do this with a checkbox at the bottom of the 'Export' dialogue.

Love the extra levels in this, especially the ones with the wooden blocks!

Fixed a bug: when gold marble drops, don't lose the board immediately, but wait until other balls stop to see whether the board is cleared.

You can as well! Perhaps another bugfix needed ;) Got a bit further this time - though I got stuck on board 10.

I got to board 15. I could get to 12 without losing a try, but then I lost a few tries on every board from then on...

Number 13 is evil... but this is a great scenario. I still can't tell whether the angle is calculated from the image of the marble it hits including or excluding the shadow. How many boards did you create?
mikmik

2008/11/17

There are 16 boards at the moment. Maybe I should ad a mechanism that allows you to start at a later level once you've solved it before... As it is, maybe nobody has ever seen Board 14 (my favourite)...
Nice game and nice Graphics. I like it!

how can i get past level 9?

Is level 9 the one where you're surrouded? If so the trick is to bounce the ball off one so it hits another off at the same time :-)
