Player entering/exiting a UFO

The best way to do something like that is to have a player reference field in the class of the ufo. When the player touches it, set the field to the player and remove the player from the world. As long as the field in the ufo has a player referenced and the referenced player is not in the world, the ufo controls can be active. When the player leaves the ufo just add it back into the world. When the player is referenced and in the world and not touching the ufo, set the field back to 'null'.

Kinect Server Configure Problem

Hi there, I am a mac user. I am trying to establish a Kinect sever to operate with Greenfoot however I am continually running into the same issue. I am following the instructions on this website. When I go to configure the server files - i.e. this command: $ ./configure --with-boost=/opt/local/include --with-wx-config=/opt/local/bin/wx-config --with-wx-prefix=/opt/local It only makes it to here $ checking for the Boost thread library... no configure: error: cannot find the flags to link with Boost thread Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? I would really appreciate a fix as this seems to be the cleanest way to interface with the Kinect via Mac Cheers Joe

First thing is that you need to keep references to the Bee and Button objects. Move lines 24 and 26 to line 5. Then, you need an act method to check for clicks on the button: <Code Omitted>Finally, change the 'act'' method in the Bee class to a 'move' method.

Noticed that your non-banana 'touch' methods are looking for the wrong type of objects (you probably copy/pasted the code from the 'touchBanana' method and did not adjust the code itself for the different types.

There are no issues with using delays here. The level display is temporary and no other actions are to occur during the short time it is displayed. The ScoreBoard object created at line 63 is not assigned to 'ScoreBoard' (which you appear to be removing from the world at line 65 with the misspelt method name 'removeObtect'); the 'ScoreBoard' field is not declared; and, the apparent field that is to hold a ScoreBoard object is not identified. Those are the issues.

Note line 5 in my last post. It sets up a local variable to hold the world the actor is currently in. In the code you just posted, you are not doing that and are not able to access the world after you remove the actor from it. Hence, your error messages.

Yeah, the rocket technically isn't "respawned." I'm just setting its location back to the middle. I'll quote the vector class soon for anyone curious.
