I love how you made the instructions a button within the game. It's really cool how smooth it runs and how many combinations you can make with this game.

Nice game! The instructions are really descriptive and helpful!

Now with counter-clockwise rotations using upper-case characters.

Oh yes, your next cube. And a real one :) And it is using the correct notation this time. So I can just look at my keyboard when executing some algorithms. Unless it is using M(/E/S) of course. Just one thing: Currently the side on the left is LEFT and the side on the right is FRONT. Is it possible to make left FRONT and right RIGHT? (Or give the option to go for that.) I am using RIGHT and UP most of the time and the right side is more or less invisible. You could say you have a left hand version. #HighscoreWaitingRoom
danpostdanpost

2020/3/20

@Super_Hippo, unfortunately it would be way to difficult to make that change -- and much more difficult to have it as an option. I would probably have to create a separate world and modify a bunch of data values. What is with "#HighscoreWaitingRoom"?
Super_HippoSuper_Hippo

2020/3/20

Making the change itself should be rather easy. Basically only changing the controls (L→F, F→R, R→B, B→L) . (Or not?) But obviously only if you don’t prefer your way. Because then, yes, it could be quite difficult to give the option for both. I would like to see a highscore table with the time to solve the cube :)
danpostdanpost

2020/3/20

@Super_Hippo, the sides are inexorably linked to the axes of cube rotations and, in changing that, the direction of rotation for at least one will change, making a big mess out of things.
The idea is cool , but the implementation is not very good . First of all, inconvenient management, do something else. Second, add meaning to the game : just twist the cube - not interesting, make sure that, for example, you were given a disassembled cube and you had to assemble it .
danpostdanpost

2020/3/21

@Kostya20052011, press 'm' to mix (disassemble) cube (see HELP).
Thank you , I didn 't notice. In this case, add tasks, tournaments with bots , or something like that.

2020/3/21

I will probably add a timer and high scores page eventually.
Well, good luck to you)
Super_HippoSuper_Hippo

2020/3/21

You are right. The cube rotations are a problem when changing the faces... Not so much for me personally since I never know which one is clockwise when turning it anyway, but yes, I didn’t think of that and I get the point. Nice to hear that you consider adding highscores! :) @Kostya: Tasks? Tournaments with bots? How is that supposed to work?

@Super_Hippo, I accomplished the optional handedness by mapping all move notations to their counterparts.

This is a very cool game and works pretty well, it is just kind of annoying to click help every time since there are a lot of controls. I suggest moving the controls into a small box in the corner and having the option to display it while you play.

I do not know how much help it will be, but the controls are now listed in the main world.

Now with basic timer. Starts on mix. Stops when solved.
Super_HippoSuper_Hippo

2020/4/25

Unfortunately, the timer does not start when you click ‘m’. Steps to reproduce: – Click on Run – Click on Help – Click on Timed Solve – Click on Back – Wait some time – Click on ‘m’ – Timer does not start at 0:00 The timer seems to start when you click Back after activating the Timed Solve. Not when actually mixing it up. A second issue: When you are currently solving and you press ‘m’ to mix it up again, the cube will be mixed up. But the timer doesn’t reset to 0:00. Instead, the image of the current timer stays in place and a new timer starts where the other one stopped. So for example you start, the timer runs to 0:05. You press ‘m’. The 0:05 stays there and on top of that, there is a new timer running: 0:05, 0:06, ... Pressing ‘m’ multiple times result in many timers placed on top of each other.

wow!
How do I rotate the middle row or column?
danpostdanpost

2020/5/24

@pavolbiacko2002, there are no commands for the middles. Rotate entire cube and turn opposite faces to emulate turning a middle.
@danpost ok thanks
