About Me

I have just retired from generalmedical practice. When I was at school I was sent to learn programming for a week with the other girls in upper six to manchester university. we were all studying maths and further maths. i struggled with it and ever since I have wanted to learn to program so I am just starting. In October I shall start a java course.They will use BlueJ. Since I am a complete novice and most of the other students willbe experienced I want to study between now and then on my own. So far I have alsodownloaded jdk 6 but I have been unable to use a javac instruction in command line to test any code at all i realise i don't need to when using bluej or greenfoot but i am alsoreading objects first by mike kolling and should like to be able to write code. I just don't know who to ask .
