Lambda expressions in Greenfoot

You can add bluej.compiler.options= to your greenfoot.properties to switch off using Java in 1.6 mode. However, it seems that the Ctrl+Space java doc entries are not shown for classes compiled with Java 8. Probably Greenfoot itself has simply to be compiled with Java 8 once. Any chance of a Greenfoot 2.4.3? The Greenfoot 3 preview uses Java 8 though. However, the editor is currently behaving a little strange (opening in the background, sometimes tabs close when selecting them).
Open actor Documentation

This documentation should have been saved on your computer when installing Greenfoot. Right-click on Greenfoot, click 'open file path' (or however this is called in english), then 'doc', 'API', 'greenfoot', 'Actor.html'. Or you open
this website
and select 'Actor', it is quite similar.

I've been trying to do: <Code Omitted>or <Code Omitted>but both didn't work, i've managed to have the same result another way (by taking the damage only from the gear class) but, gonna think about the (getWorld() != null) next time, thank you!

Bug? Objects painted outside the world and not being removed
By Super_Hippo, with 4 replies.
Last reply by Super_Hippo, about 11 years ago:
Great, thank you :) I don't know if it has to do anything with it (probably not), but at least it is another thing with the displaying of a scenario. The problem occurs if I scroll (up or down) when being on a scenario page. Then the visible world moves too. So let's say I open the page (and accept that I use Java 7 although it is unsafe and that I don't want to upgrade...) and scroll down then. Then the scenario itself moves down, outside the visible area. That means that the only way for me to play a scenario is to first, let it refresh because it needs to activate java manually or somethin

How to make a Gamover Screen with score underneath???
By Sceuby_Doo23, with 1 reply.
Replied to by Super_Hippo, about 11 years ago:
<Code Omitted> You can either change the world with 'Greenfoot.setWorld(new GameOver());' with 'GameOver' being the name of the world class with the game over image. Or you can just change the background of the current world: 'getWorld().setBackground("your picture.png");'. If you want to remove all objects, so only the image is visible, you can use 'getWorld().removeObjects(null)' to remove all objects (don't use this before changing the background).

Getting a variable

Your 'Here' field is declared to hold an Actor object, not a BeenHere object. The compiler does not know to look in the BeenHere class for the 'index' field. Change line 6 to: <Code Omitted> As an alternative you could have the field declared as a BeenHere type field an adjust line 3 with the following: <Code Omitted>Notice that casting the type of the returned actor object from using 'getOneObjectAtOffset' is required -- one way or the other.
Get Random Number with no repeats

Your 'userAnswer' array is declared as a ten element array (indexed from zero to nine), but your 'for' loop counter, 'i', will increment to ten (which is outside the index range of the array). Line 12 will fail when 'i' reaches the value of ten. Change the 'for' loops on lines 8 and 15 to the following: <Code Omitted>
