I invited one of my friends to start using greenfoot. Even though I do know him irl, I don't see him that often. I was hoping we could stay in touch (and instruct him) using some sort of pm system. I had just always assumed it had one... If I remember correctly, there was a project once that was essentially a pm program. correct? any links? Also, I really think greenfoot needs to have an integrated PM system.

I do not think that there would be any objections to using the discussion board for communicating as long as it had to do with greenfoot or java related issues. I do have a project on the site that allows private communications between users (you could search 'private messaging'), however, it is limited as far as message length and it is not as easy to access as the discussion board. Also, you instruction to your friend may be helpful to others as well.
