How can I set up multiple worlds where I can go back and forth between them and then it saves what was previously done in the world?

What mechanism will you be using to trigger world changing -- crossing edges of the world? contacting an object? Will you have multiple ways into the different worlds? Where will you appear in the world transported to -- near the edge? on an object (what kind)? Explain the behavior you want for your actor while going from one world to the next at the moment of changing worlds (the one that goes back and forth between the worlds).

@danpost, I would like to have multiple ways to trigger world changing but for now just when contacting an object, there will be multiple ways into the different worlds and the object would just simply be placed into the world at no specific location. If possible, could you give me a brief explanation of what I should try to do? I have pretty much completed my AP Java course for senior year of HS and I'll be majoring in computer science in college and I really want to be able to test my overall knowledge of concepts I've learned and problem solving skills.

I think my Use of 'this' demo may be something for you to look at. Basically, what the scenario demonstrates, as far as world changing, is that you can create all your portal pairs and place them each in their respective worlds right at start-up. Randomly placing the portals in their worlds will not effect their capabilities and they can be made to be one-way, circular (back and forth), or chained (one to the next). Also, when used, the receiving portal can remain (as I have it in the demo), be relocated, or even removed. If you have any specific issues or question on it, I will be more than willing to assist in any way.
