You're right - it is missing in the main menu. (That was an oversight.) The function is still there when you right-click on the world background. It will be added back into the main menu with the next release (which should be out quite soon.) Michael

Ummm... this is exciting! What is expected in the new version? (Aside from the save the world re-added to the menu)

It is purely a bug fix release. The bugs listed here are fixed.
