Your browser is ignoring the <APPLET> tag. Scenario not running?

I cannot see any scenario running in my web browser(Chrome and MS Internet Explorer) with that messages. I installed JRE and JDK following instruction, but it didn't work at all. My OS is Windows 10 and I checked that my Java was enabled in the control panel. My Chrome version is 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit), which is the latest, and my Internet Explorer's version 11.576. Can any one help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Add http://www.greenfoot.org/ to the Java Control Panel's exception site list.

Chrome does not support the Java plug-in. I'm not sure about Internet Explorer. To be honest the applet plugin is being phased out and it won't be long before you can't run it in any browser. In the meantime if you can't get it working, I suggest downloading the project and running it in Greenfoot (use the "Open in Greenfoot" button. Not all scenarios have this option).

Edge (which doesn't support java) gives the option to open websites in IE and IE works even though there are some problems like that you must not scroll the website.

I also have Windows 10 and I only had to do two things to be able to see a scenario.
  • Add http://www.greenfoot.org/ to the Security panel in the Java control panel item by C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111\bin\javacpl.cpl (on my computer, I didn't update Java yet so by you the folder might not have 1.8.0_111)
  • Run in Internet Explorer
For UserInfo to work you'll also have to do the things in this discussion (the AppData folder is usually a hidden folder).
