When I try to set an Image for my collection I get this error: "We're sorry, but something went wrong. Please send an email to gallery@greenfoot.org for assistance.". What am I doing wrong to get this error. On the bottom of the window (from clicking on "edit collection") is says "An image (1MB max, PNG or JPEG, will be scaled to 120x70 pixels):", but when I click on the button "Choose File" the file filter is set to .png. I could set it to All files but that's not only the extensions mentioned above (It didn't work even as a .png).

I mean the error gives you the advise to write an email. "Please send an email to gallery@greenfoot.org for assistance"

In Photoshop I did save as (i have CS5.1 where there is no export option just "Save As" and then you have to choose a format) and then "Format: PNG (*.PNG)"
What is the size of the image you are trying to set?

Can you re-open it in something like Paint and resave it?

I did that and re-saved it as a PNG (with paint) but I still got that error.

I would say that it is most probably a greenfoot bug, then.

Not fair :( , other people have images for their collections (Ahchemm). (But it's not your fault that you were able to)

I have just noticed this thread. If you can send me the exact time and date (in UTC, or give the timezone) that you got this error, I can investigate in the server logs. I just tried again (with the same picture as above) and I got the error. Time: 7:11 PM Date: 1/1/2017 Timezone: Eastern United States

How do I write time in UTC? I gave you one of the times (the latest) that I got the error with, the date that I tried (today obviously), and the timezone that I'm in now.

Eastern Standard Time (EST) is 5 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). So, you add 5 hours to get the time in UTC; in this case, 12:11 AM, 2-Jan-2017.
