Hi, on Xubuntu Greenfoot 3.0 works incorectly. It needs Oracle Java and there is no information during install. With Oracle Java IDE runs, but documentation doesn't work

Hi, It's fairly normal for an installation of a .deb package to be silent. Greenfoot should work with OpenJDK as long as JavaFX (or OpenFX) is available, which it might not be by default (you can perhaps install the "libopenjfx-java" package). However, we've generally had better experience with the Oracle JDK. I have updated the installation instructions to say that we strongly suggest using the Oracle JDK. Regarding the documentation not working, perhaps you could contact support and send a debug log? Thanks.

Are you saying the dependencies for the Greenfoot .deb package are wrong? The only issue I'm aware of is that the libopenjfx-java package isn't specified as a dependency (see my previous post). We might add that as a dependency if it turns out all the distributions need it.

> Are you saying the dependencies for the Greenfoot .deb package are wrong? I'm not saying this, I'm too lame to say that. I'm wondering if it's possible. Sorry, if my english isn't clear enough. I know only that is problem with 3.0. During instalation and during runing documentation. I don't know why and how to explain my students how to install this.
