Attack of the Gar

First complete project for the course I am taking.
Press up to move forward.
Left to rotate counter-clockwise.
Right to rotate clockwise.

The sprites are the best I can do with MS Paint.
If you know of any free sprite/paint tools that are good please let me know.

Matt suggested gimp to me and it's good. It looks like a free version of illustrator, so even though I haven't figured out how to use things like a select that makes all background (white) space transparent, I know it's there. Also, there are cool paintbrush effects that I used for my house fire animation.

Did you cut around your sprites or use some magical key combo to make your area outside the black outline transparent? If there is a way to do this in Paint, please post it. Paint is so much simpler than the advanced programs.
