The robot (or man) has eight-way movement; meaning that you can use two arrows keys at one time to move diagonally (like 'up' and 'left'). Even with a little resistance in the direction of movement, the robot will 'slide' along the barrier. Maximizing the thickness of the barriers (clicking on the right, outside the Barrier Thickness bar) with the robot next to a barrier may 'trap' him. Better is to press and hold inside the bar on the right side (or move the robot away from any barriers before maximizing the thickness of the barriers).
Well, bread does not move around on its own. These have more the appearance of some type of worms (or maggots).
The first thing I noticed was that you do not have any Player class object added to the world. Then, I saw some unwanted characters in your code - remove the semi-colon ( ; ) in the Gameball class at the end of 'getGold()' method - remove one pair of brackets ( } { ) in the Player class between the 'if's in the 'act' method Finally, in that second 'if' block, you need to switch the calls to 'setPlayer1()' and 'setPlayer2()'. That should fix what you have so far.
I scored 53 on my first turn! As there are only 45 move left on the board, I win. @mienasarie, click on the big green button that says 'Open in Greenfoot' above and to the right of the scenario frame to get the source code.
Latest update only changed the mechanism to return the value of the selected menu option. I felt that others who might use this code should not have to be responsible in clearing the selected menu option value after getting it (it now clears automatically when you do get it)
There is a bug, in that buried cards can be moved to the ward with over cards going there also. That is, a 6h-5c-4d can be moved to Ah-2h-3h-4h-5h, making it Ah-2h-3h-4h-5h-6h-5c-4d; the 5d can then be played there (with cards above it, if any).
@dlanni, nice try; but that is not where I got them from; though, come to think of it, they do look similar to them, dont they! Want to try again? If not, log on and open my 'Private Messaging' scenario; afterwards, I can let you know where I got them without others finding out.
@darkmist255, that is probably the case. You have a message in my 'Private Messaging' scenario that explains. Can anyone guess or figure out where I got the new piece images from? Click 'Run' to view.
Does anyone else have a problem viewing the pieces in this scenario after clicking on 'Run'? If so, please post a response and specify what system you are using.
