Here are some things you need to be aware of. First, for each act cycle the Ambulance object is touching a NorthCar, SouthCar or Trees object, another Crash object will be created and placed overtop a previously placed one. There are two ways to stop this -- either remove the Ambulance object from the world after you add a Crash object into it or make sure no Crash objects are in the world before adding one. Once you fix that, you can see how a single Crash object behaves. Then, you can adjust the code of its act method to have it behave the way you wanted.

There are no 'canSee' and 'eat' methods in the Actor class. Use 'isTouching' and 'removeTouching', which are part of the Actor class.

Just use a timer int field to count act cycles. Have the act method increment it. When its value reaches 55 or so, have the actor move: <Code Omitted>Having the rotation of the actor randomly set each act cycle will cause it to act spastically pretty much in one place. Either limit to turning in small increments or limit the changing of rotation to once every few moves.

This looks quite the same as this thread.

Try the 'isTouching' method, which uses a class as parameter. The 'intersects' method is intended to check for a specific actor instance, not for any object of a specific class.
