You only want to jump when the player is on the ground. Place that condition on the ability to jump.

Remove lines 3, 9, 15, and 19. Then switch '3' and '-3' on lines 16 and 20.

Did you change the execution speed of the scenario?

nevermind Nosson1459's solution worked perfectly and because my approach on adding a point when the meteor hits the left edge doesnt work ill try yours and come back with some results thank you all for your replies

It has probably opened "off screen". Shift-click the terminal in the taskbar, choose "move", and move the mouse on to the desktop to position the terminal.

No -- you do not have to edit SmoothMover. However, if you do, it should only be with the generic moving stuff. The shielding capability is specific to the player and anything related to it should be in the Player classs (that would be line 12 though 14, lines 33 through 52 and lines 138 through 142).
