How to save world
By Paul12345, with 1 reply.

You should be able to save the worlds by manually creating the specific world you want to add objects into. Without a more clear view of what you are working with, I cannot guarantee it will work for you, however.
Snake Game

The 'design' method should only be executed once when the actor is created. Remove the call from the 'act' method and add a constructor block to the class: <Code Omitted>You could replace the call to 'design' in the constructor block with the code within the 'design' method and then delete the 'design' method from the class.
Deleting Another Actor

If after the deletion, no more of that type actor are in the world, then use 'getWorld().removeObjects(getWorld().getObjects(CLASSNAME.class));', where CLASSNAME is the type of actor to be deleted.

I don't know -- are you getting some other error(s)? What I gave should have fixed the errors you were getting -- well, if you changed them correctly, which I see you have not. The '6's on line 26 should be '96's; on line 28, the '11' should be a '176' and the '4's should be '64's; and the '11's on lines 30 and 31 should be '176's as well.

How to make a checkerboard in Greenfoot?
By Zweeg, with 4 replies.
Last reply by danpost, almost 8 years ago:
All you need to create is one portion of the checkerboard pattern (4 squares of alternating light and dark) and use the 'setBackground' method to apply it to the entire background: <Code Omitted>The image is totally filled in first to guarantee that no transparency is in the image (you get unwanted behavior

And this is the reason why I don't understand why the actor didn't appeared at given coordinates. For example I used addObject(new Blue1(),120,0); but the actor was added at 0 0 .And , If I cut the code from addedToWorld and paste in constructor , and delete addedToWorld , the actor will appear at the correct location.
Please show the class where you are using the addObject call for inspection. If it extends any class other than World, show that class as well. Before that, please show the entire Blue1 class code.
