Not sure how viable this makes Greenfoot in a classroom environment. If a student makes a mistake and Greenfoot can't recover from it even when they have corrected the code, that's a huge problem. Thanks for your help

For rockets, you may want to use w and up for acceleration and a/d and left/right for turning. Only one class is really needed. Just use a boolean parameter to identify which one to create: <Code Omitted>

Adding object to world from while other world is active

Which world are you expecting line 11 to add to? getWorld() returns the world that the current actor is in, so it will not return the new PlantsVsZombies, it will return the existing world. If you want to add to the new world, keep a reference to it, then call addObject on that world reference rather than using getWorld()

You should probably remove the second import line and just compare the color, using equals, to Color.GREEN: <Code Omitted>You can also remove line 5 in your last code post.

No. It is due to your wallCollapse method removing the actor and then your wallTakesAHit method using getWorld, which would then be null.

What you are doing is misplacing the behavior of the car and putting it on the scrolling. It would be better to control the car with the keys, allowing it to be moved along the x-axis, then have the scrolling be determined by the amount the car moved along the x-axis, moving the car back to its original horizontal location. That would be actor follow scrolling code with some ranged actor movement (along the y-axis). See my tutorial on this.

The timer you refer to can be placed in the class of the actor itself.
