There are several different Greenfoot downloads. Some of them include a JDK. On the download page the text for these says "includes JDK".

Thankyou for this. Now that I have downloaded the Greenfoot that includes the JDK how do I use it, ie, can I enter Java code and edit/debug/compile as if it were an IDE?

Well, Greenfoot is an IDE, so yes. You can edit, compile and debug. I suggest going through the tutorials on the documentation page.
