very often i have to exit the scenario and reopen it in order to compile it otherwise the button wont work

Please elaborate. Did you try clicking on the world window?

yes its selected and everything else works its just the compile button it has nothing 2 do with what im doing as far as i can see its got to be a bug in greenfoot i have version 3.0.0

Sounds like something you need to report, if you think it is a bug in greenfoot. Check the bottom of the 'Download' page for information on 'Support'.
