Hi all, We are in the process of performing some site maintenance and are aware of several issues right now which we hope to fix soon. Right now:
  • scenarios may not be running at all
  • the search box is not properly visible
  • category selections for discussion topics are not properly visible
  • syntax highlighting for code snippets posted in the discussion forum is not presently working
  • the search doesn't always work
  • It has been reported that changing your user profile picture doesn't work
  • Deleting scenarios doesn't prompt with 'are you sure?'
  • Scenario view counts may not be updating
  • Images may be missing from some pages (documentation, tutorials) (all fixed?)
  • Vertical scrollbars appearing in syntax-highlighted code in discussion posts (fixed?)
  • Download of UserInfo data from own scenarios not working
  • Can't add scenarios into collections (form elements not appearing?)
  • Collections index, and collection list on user page: doubly HTML-escaped text
  • Occasional HTTP glitch? pages display as text (HTML code is visible) mostly seems to occur when clicking a notification link from the notification 'star'
  • The various RSS feeds aren't working
  • "applets won't run?" page is not displaying
  • User icons not loading via UserInfo API
  • Changing email frequency setting not working (reported)
If you notice any other issues, please post them here. In the meantime be assured that we will try to get things back to normal as soon as we can.

It turns out scenarios are actually working. The search box is now visible and the syntax highlighting should be working (it looks a bit different than it did before). There may be some minor visual glitches but we should be able to sort those out over the next few days. If you notice any other problems, please let us know!

I have noticed that the new code posting are looking pretty fine, especially with the added horizontal scrollbar. However, they no longer have the 'View plain' and other links along the top. :?

Yes, that's due to an updated version of the syntax highlighter package being used. You don't need 'view plain' however as you can simply copy from the original view. The other links were essentially useless. Search still isn't working, and there may be problems with counting scenario views. I'm looking into both issues.

By the way, you can now get a "plain" view by double-clicking anywhere in the code, which also selects the entire code block (which makes copying/pasting large slabs of code much easier)

That works! I see, manually selecting the code for copying does not include the line numbers like it used to.

Now, the number of new notifications is not being zeroed when they are viewed by clicking on the star (and page is changed or refreshed).

I just deleted a scenario; but there was no confirmation of delete -- it just automatically deleted it (FYI).

Don't know if you know this already, but the Search box seems to be unable to search the site for anything.

I tried to add one of my scenarios into one of my collections and no drop-down list appeared to choose a scenario from.
There are more replies on the next page.
