I was wondering if there was any chance of incorporating an online Greenfoot editor with the capability of editing with multiple people. Chrome usually blocks the java applet, so perhaps a HTML5 format?

If such a thing existed, we might incorporate it into the site, yes; but as far as I know, it doesn't. I guess what you're really asking is if we are planning on developing such a thing.
