I'm new and never used Greenfoot before. I want to create an educational game that teaches elementary students about cyber security awareness. Want the game to start by telling a story and then let the player answer questions to earn points to move to the next level. Want the game to have different levels and multiple players.

Multiple local players or multiple players using different computers?

no the same computer. trying to educate them on what they are doing wrong and the correct way to do it. for example passwords, the importance of not sharing them and making the secure.

Ah. I think what you are doing is great, me being a student myself, I think many people should be informed on that subject! I think your game should start by saying how many players do you want to play with, and then making every player type in their names. After that you should make it print out a question and then multiple answers (for example, a. b. and so on) And if you get the question wrong, the student doesn't get a point, and if they get right they do, and at the end whoever has the most points "wins". How much time do you have to make this?

that's what I want the game to do but in different levels, for example the first level be about passwords, identity theft, and social media. the next level be about pornography and social networking.

Okay good you have plenty of time. You should start by looking at the basic tutorials at: http://www.greenfoot.org/doc And then going to watch some of the more advanced tutorials at: http://blogs.kent.ac.uk/mik/category/joy-of-code/ After that you should be good to go on making your game. Since you have a good amount of time I really do suggest you watch all of those tutorials in order, even if they don't apply to the kind of game your making, they will REALLY help you get through it.

I started looking at the tutorials but got a little confused. how do you go about trying to follow the tutorial by doing what the tutorial is telling you to do. I couldn't click on. do I have to start trying to first opening or creating a new editor.

Just open Greenfoot and make a new scenario if you want to follow along. The Joy of Code ones are using one project that the guy is making and slowly developing the game. In the description of the video he has the download for his current project file.
