Is it just the desktop you can't create a project on, or is it anywhere? Is the disk full (or close to it?)
The problem is you have a mac, ten years old technology and overpriced
No, it is not that is is a mac, but that it is an old one.
@kiarocks, I just tried to tell him that apple products are shit.
No they aren't, they work fine. My friend has one and I have one and they are very good!
@Spower, I respect other's opinion and I know that what I wrote is an opininion, I never claimed it is a fact.
I just tried to tell him that apple products are shit... in my opinion
Ok, now it's good :) But we're getting off track...
Off the Mac insults please guys...
AgentGinger, if you're still having issues then it might be best to fire off an email to support@greenfoot.org with your debug log and we'll see if we can sort it that way.
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback, even if it is ridiculous Anti-Mac spam.
Its not actually an old Mac. I'm running 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and I still had the problem in 10.7 (Lion).
The dialog boxes Greenfoot uses are not the standard 10.8 dialogue boxes, so maybe thats why it looks old.
The disk is nowhere near full, over 300 GB of space left, and Greenfoot won't let me make a project anywhere.
This isn't mac specific. This is a greenfoot issue as I have a brand new Windows 7 PC with full permissions on and still get this same message. I also have the newest version of greenfoot installed. It appears to me that the new function under scenario is not a working function of the greenfoot software.
on windows 7 try it with this:
http://windows7themes.net/tweaks/takeownership.zip
Execute the InstallTakeOwnership.reg.
this enables a little registry tweak, just rightlick in your user folder on the desktop and press take ownership.
