Any screen where the controls are not specified click to continue. To start click the title screen. After reading and clicking through both the lore and controls screens, stage one begins. Use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys to move. Collect the paper scrolls that spawn on the right side of the screen and float to the left. Collect nine or more scrolls to move on to stage two. If less than nine scrolls are collected at the end of the 1000 year timer, the game over screen appears and you can click to restart the game.
In stage one there are three obstacles to avoid. Those obstacles are the tsunamis, tornados, and fireballs. All three spawn at the right side of the screen and move to the left. The tsunamis take up two-thirds of the screen and move slowly. Tornados move up and down bouncing off the top and bottom of the screen. Lastly, the fireballs move quickly, straight to the left. Make sure to avoid all three so that you can keep all three lives. If you lose all three lives, it is a game over and you can click to restart the game.
On the stage one win screen, you can either click to continue to the lore of stage two and the controls for stage two, or you can press “k” to see the knowledge you collected in stage one. Once you have clicked through the controls and lore for stage two, stage two begins. In stage two you play the Tenko who must protect the orbs behind you from the villagers who want to take them. You move left and right to move between the villagers and the orbs to stop them from taking the orbs. To win, you must keep a minimum of six orbs in the span of 1000 years. The villagers will continue to come back for the orbs until time is up unless they have taken more than three orbs. If you cannot keep six orbs, then it will be a game over and you must restart the game. If you succeed at keeping six or more orbs, you win the game and have the option of trying again by clicking the screen.
