You can bundle a specific font and set its size in your scenario, so you will no longer be t the mercy of the user's installed fonts.

I did set the font's size in the scenario, but on Mac, it has a different look. I don't have Greenfoot on a Mac, so I can only guess-and-check font sizes.

Maybe you can use my TextImage class to render the images. That way you can adjust the size of the font to fit.
A new version of this scenario was uploaded on 2015-03-08 16:52:09 UTC Added a map. The weather is glitchy... maybe it'll work here.
