I wouldn't mind knowing the answer, too. I've had this problem with Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox all... even though Chrome is the only one that supposedly it shouldn't work in. I have the latest Java installed and I checked its settings; no problems there. The first thing I tried doing is using an extension to open tabs in Internet Explorer (within Chrome), thinking that'd help, but IE does the same thing.
Use Internet Explorer. Deactivate the enhanced protected mode (and also the 64 bit processes for this mode) in the options.
Open the Java Control Panel, activate Java (in case it is deactivated) and add http://www.greenfoot.org/ to the exception list.
After this, it *should* work for you or at least I don't know what else could be different in my settings.

That is what has to be done, but if I didn't know this before I would not know what you are talking about. The things I did to get the scenarios to work was I read this (

I did all of this and then opened my exported project in IE, and still got the same thing. The enhanced protected mode and 64-bit stuff was already turned off, Java was already enabled... so I simply added that exception you listed.
