Tangled Escape

Can you make it through all four mazes?
An exit is a golden portal somewhere within a maze.

Can either use the WASD keys to move or clicking and dragging the mouse in some direction.

Mazes are randomized.

Press the keys 1-4 to pick a maze "level" to play.

Press 'o' to open saved maze.
Press 'k' to keep current.
Saves all aspects: maze layout (random generator seed), position, direction, visited positions (for discovered areas).

It might be nice to allow the player to move down a hallway, even if you are trying to move diagonally down the hallway. I think it would smooth out movement a bit

Alright thanks, I will change it. Got to dig through more code I wrote like 2 years ago ha.

Lol nice change, but that's not what I meant. Say there is a long hallway heading due north, and you press W and D to move noth-east. In your scenario, the character would stop because he's running into a wall, but I am suggesting just ignoring the D and still have him move straight up.

So do you mean to have the keys WASD to instead direct to the corners of the applet? Or do you mean to have some mechanic to be able to let go of say the D key in your example and still be moving as if it was still pressed? I honestly use the mouse almost always.

No the WASD keys would still direct you in the same directions as they do now. W for north, D for east ect... But if you pressed W say, and that ran you into a wall, you would slide along the wall instead of just stopping completely.

OR: just have the QEZC keys control the diagonal movement.
